Precarious Residence
Precarious residence is a temporary authorization that allows you to remain in Paraguay while the government analyzes the request for temporary residence.

Temporary Residence
Temporary residency is an authorization that allows you to stay in Paraguay for up to two years and already gives you the right to apply for a Paraguayan identity card. It is the second stage of the regularization process in the country.

Identity card (Cédula)
The identity card is the official identification document in Paraguay, similar to the ID card in Brazil. It proves your identity and legal residence in the country, allowing access to services such as opening bank accounts, obtaining a driver's license, and others.

Permanent Residence
Permanent residency is an authorization that allows you to remain legally in Paraguay for 10 years, and must be renewed at the end of that period. It guarantees stability and access to expanded rights, such as investing, working, studying and residing in the country without restrictions during its validity.

Citizenship
Paraguayan citizenship is the status that grants all the rights of a citizen, including the right to participate in political life, vote, run for public office and obtain a Paraguayan passport. To apply for it, you must have at least three years of permanent residence in the country.
